Hosea 4:6 (KJV) 
    My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: ....

Over the years, man has developed a attitude toward the Will and Word of God that reflects a harden heart.  Many are refusing to hear The Word because it exposes our true intent. 

• If we keeping telling ourselves something long enough we will start to believe it. 
• The key is to learn to be honest and truthful to ourselves.

The religious leaders failed to instruct the people in the Laws of God, therefore they were unable to build upon the relationship that God was trying to develope with them.  God had provided the leaders with the knowledge needed to build the poeple up and point them towards Him but they faild.  They failed to do their part mainly because they were trying to lead the people to a place they themselves had not been.  Many of them were just a shell of what they were to be, Spirit Filled Leaders

• Ignorance is costly and dangerous

Irresponsible behavior caused many their lives and the of their love ones.

Hosea 4:6 also tells us ".... because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.            

Leaders have a great responsibility to learn the Will of God and then teach the people, The people of God has responsibility to learn the Will of God to better enhance their relationship with Him. 

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) 
    For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Sometimes what we want and what God wants for us can appear to be different.  The problem is, we fail to understand and believe that God wants what's best for us.

Israel was displaced because of sin and wanted to return home.  God through the prophet Jeremiah told them that they would have to wait 70 year but that He would give them the desires of their heart. 

The 11th verse points out that He had good things planned for them and that His plans matched their desires.  He told them that He was going to give them an expected end.  

 Do you have any expectation?

Spiritual growth isn't accomplished by chance.  It require an intentional pursuit .

• You must intentionally call upon the name of the Lord.
• You must intentionally pray and seek God.
• You must be willing to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
